A man whose tasteless joke fueled the anger of a friend who died of a heart attack in an ensuing fight has been sentenced to five years in prison and fined 160,000 yuan ($23,400) for his misstep. Chu Jun in Anhui Province is behind bars after joking with others recently that he'd impregnated the wife of his friend, Chen Yi.
Chen confronted Chu about the comments and it escalated into a struggle until Chen, who suffered from heart disease, dropped dead. Though there were no visible injuries, the court held that Chu was guilty of causing Chen's death.
