Singing stones

Shown are "tone stones" owned by two rock collectors in Changning, Sichuan Province. When shaken the large one, 13 centimeters wide and 8 centimeters tall, reportedly produces a deep "dong" tone. The small one, 9 centimeters wide and 6 centimeters tall, is said to give off a lighter, higher "dong" when shaken.
