Mt. Mangtou National Park near the well-known Hukou Waterfall is located 48 kilometers southeast of Yichuan county, Yan'an City in Shaanxi Province. The nation's 10-year "Grain for Green" program, which aims to prevent desertification, helps to maintain the forest. In the autumn, the leaves changing to red cover Mt. Mangtou, resulting in a unique landscape in the Loess Plateau.
