Trends: Shanghai, EVA Air promotes Expo tourism in Taiwan

A strategic partnership agreement was signed by the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration (SMTA) and EVA Airways Corporation (EVA Air) in Taipei to promote the 2010 World Expo and tourism in the Yangtze River Delta.
EVA Air and UNI Air of Evergreen Group have over 50 flights to 14 destinations in the Chinese mainland, including 24 to the Yangtze River Delta cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo, which have the most frequent flights between Taiwan and the Chinese flights to mainland China.
According to the agreement, a themed cabin in a 747-400 airplane carried by EVA Air will provide service based on the visual designs of images of the Mainland China Pavilion and the Taiwan Pavilion in the 2010 World Expo to be opened on May 1, 2010. EVA Air's inflight magazine will include serial reports of the Yangtze River Delta, and video clips made by SMTA and EVA Air will be played on the airplane to provide relevant information tofor the travelers.
Moreover, SMTA and EVA Air will also cooperate in promotion of the Yangtze River Delta and the 2010 World Expo in Taiwan and North America with the theme of China's Jiangnan in the World Expo. (Jiangnan refers to lands immediately to the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River).
