Shaolin Temple in Henan
1. Beijing– Xingtai City in Hebei Province
Start your trip at 6:30 am from Liuliqiao in Beijing and drive along the Beijng-Shijiazhuang Expressway and at about 7:20 you will arrive at the Hebei toll station. Then you should reach the Shijiazhuang Service Area at 9:30 am and Xingtai Service Area at 10:40 am. Re-fuel your car and have a rest, then start on the road again.
2. Xingtai City in Hebei Province –Yuntaishan Geopark in Jiaozuo City of Henan Province
You will enter in Henan Province about noon. Start from the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway at 1:00 pm and turn into the Jincheng-Xinxiang Expressway at Weihui Exit. The road is smooth and you will arrive at Xiuwu County at 1:30 pm. Follow the road sign 'Yuntaishan', to drive towards Yuntaishan Geopark [Click to see photos...]. You can spend the rest of the day traveling in Yuntaishan and stay there for the night.
3. Yuntaishan Geopark in Henan Province – Longmen grottoes in Luoyang City of Henan Province
On the next day start from Yuntaishan Geopark after lunch along the Jiaozuo-Wenxian Expressway at about 2:30 pm and turn into the Lian-Huo Expressway from Gongyi at about 4:30 pm. Exit the expressway from Mengjin toll station at about 5 pm. Then drive to the direction of Luoyang and you can visit the Longmen Grottoes [Click to see photos...] located south of Luoyang City.
4. Luoyang City in Henan Province – Shaoling Temple in Dengfeng City of Henan Province
Drive along the Luoyang City Ring Expressway and then turn into the Zhengshaoluo Expressway, then the east section of Zhengzhou-Dengfeng-Luoyang Expressway. Exit at Shaolin Temple/Dengfeng West Exit and head for Shaolin Temple [Click to see photos...] in Dengfeng City of Henan Province.
