Attractions: Former residence of Sun Zi in Binzhou City, Shandong Province

The former residence of Sunzi used to be the Sun Wu Ancestral Temple built in the first year of Chongning Emperor's reign in the Yuan Dynasty. The place commemorates the greatest militarist and forefather of strategy in Chinese history, Sunzi. Born in the State of Qi in the Warring States Period  (476 BC-221 BC), Sunzi wrote the well-known book of tactics, Art of War (Sunzi Bingfa).

The complex covers an area of 43,000 square meters (about 11 acres). With the statue of Sunzi at the center of the residence, the Sunzi College and Sunzi Museum are on either side of him. Behind the statue is a wall carved with chapters of the Art of War, and the wall separates the statue from the lake.
